I graduated from the Atlanta campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Sequential Art and a minor in Animation. I am interested in every area of sequential art except for inking, but I would like to become a comic book colorist although I am still interested in creating my own comics. I am also interested in character designing and storyboarding. As for animation...I am absolutely in love with the area. I didn't really realize that until I took my first animation class last year. There is no greater feeling for an artist than to see their artwork come alive. There are three types of animations: 2D, 3D, and Stop Motion. I am a 2D artist through and through. I am a traditional hand-drawn 2D animator, I don't bother with Flash after my first attempt at it destroyed my work. I've heard that 2D animation is a dying art form, and I used to think so too, but I have come to realize that it isn't. The audience would pay to see a 2D film, if it's good. 2D animations just need a good writer and animator, and I hope to bring it to them. In the end, I want to be both a cartoonist and an animator.
